Treating Agentic Prompts Like Code: Automated Refactoring, Diffing, and Gap Analysis

CerAImic Framework Configuration & Audit Panel. Three panels covering Knowledge Architecture, the Automated Refactoring Loop, and System Governance

Two months ago, I posted about architectural governance and how I built my CerAImic framework to wrap non-deterministic agents in strict topological gating.

My operational dashboards handle execution. But to continuously harden the system, I needed a panel that governs the knowledge logic itself.

I've just added a dedicated Framework Configuration & Audit Panel to the CerAImic Nerve Center.

The distinction between the two layers is simple but vital:

Execution Panel: What work are we doing right now?

Audit & Topology Panel: How did we answer it? Which skill version executed the task, and what system-level blind spots remain?

The Knowledge Architecture

Instead of managing execution, the new panel maps the relationship between questions, executed skills, and overall system coverage:

Section & Subsection Hierarchy

Domain architectures (e.g., Monetization, Data Security) are broken down into granular subsection questions that must be answered.

Skill Specs per Question

Every question has a dedicated skill defining how to answer it, which sources to pull from, and the explicit threshold between a good and bad answer.

Skill Versioning & Diffs

Keeps a complete log of every skill iteration, tracking which version answered which past question.

Knowledge Gap Analysis

By combining and analyzing all generated answers across the entire pipeline, the panel highlights blind spots, showing me exactly where our architecture has holes that require new questions or skills.

The Automated Refactoring Loop

To ensure skills improve without introducing prompt drift, the panel runs a self-optimizing feedback loop with an opt-in human layer:

Continuous Scoring

An auditing skill rates answers against the explicit good/bad thresholds defined in each skill spec.

Automated Back-Testing

When a skill is updated, driven by feedback from me and my customers, the engine reruns past questions through the new skill version, benchmarking its score directly against the previous iteration.

Automated Decoupling Advice

Just like refactoring bloated code, when a skill accumulates too many edge cases, the system flags it and advises me on how to split the question and skill into modular sub-components.

Task dashboards show you what work gets done.

Audit dashboards show you how it was done and where your system is still blind.

By versioning skills, regression-testing iterations, and identifying structural knowledge gaps, CerAImic turns agentic engineering into a predictable, self-healing enterprise software factory.

How are you analyzing knowledge gaps and tracking skill evolution across your agentic workflows?
